Teams of students from Abington and Germany compete to develop the best solution to a problem posed by a company in the Philadelphia region within 48-hours.
A student team from Hof University of the Applied Sciences emerged victorious after weeks of intense preparation for the Penn State Abington International Case Competition. Another group from Hof, Abington's German affiliate, captured second place and a four-member squad from Abington placed third.
The panelists laughed, joked and were clearly passionate about their profession. They stressed the importance of interpersonal skills, entrepreneurship and versatility. But the words debit and credit were never uttered, so it may be surprising that the dynamic career they were championing was accounting.
